Pat Patton has been the President of Hunt, Patton & Brazeal for over 30 years. He has his Ph.D. in Psychology, and was previously in Human Resources. Dr. Patton served as director at Fluor/Williams Brothers, and Resource Sciences. He has worked in Combustion Engineering before founding Hunt, Patton & Brazeal. His experience with the engineering, construction, specialty chemical, oil and gas and energy industries in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and all levels of capitalization have helped the company grow to where it is today. His PhD in Organizational Clinical Psychology is from California Coast University. Dr. Patton earned his MS in Industrial and Educational Psychology from Oklahoma State University, and his BS in Education, Oklahoma State University.
John Williams, MBA, has been our vice president at Hunt, Patton & Brazeal for over 12 years. He has a background in mechanical and civil engineering, commercial construction, venture capital and financial management. He handles administrative and financial management for Hunt, Patton & Brazeal and contributes on merger and acquisition projects. John has a unique expertise in turnaround management, financial reorganizations and real estate development and financing. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Plymouth Pharmaceuticals. John has over 30 years’ experience in financial consulting, venture capital management and management of development stage companies in numerous industries: chemicals, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and laser manufacturing. He earned his Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Stanford University, and his Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Yale University.
Mary C. Patton acts as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions. Dr. Patton provides over 30 years of business experience in strategic planning, market development, market analysis, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting. Between 1994-2010, she successfully founded and managed two market intelligence and strategy consulting firms. She formerly held executive marketing and product management positions with firms such as Pfizer, Baxter International, Premier Hospitals Alliance, and IMV Limited. She has worked with Hunt, Patton & Brazeal since 1997.
Dr. Patton holds a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelors’ degree in Economics from Rice University. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from California Coast University, having graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011. She has also acted as an Adjunct Instructor of Marketing in the graduate management program of the University of Denver Daniels School of Business, and is a member of several professional societies.
Walter was formerly an Executive Officer of numerous energy and specialty chemical companies. There he gained extensive experience in strategic planning, operations, expansions, restructuring and profit generation. He has initiated, directed and negotiated acquisitions, divestiture, joint ventures and cooperation agreements with private, major domestic and international companies and national governments. Walter delivered association speeches on developing technologies in the refining industry. Walter has his Master’s degree in the Executive Program from The University of Chicago, and he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue.
Sherry has been at Hunt, Patton & Brazeal since 2006. Before joining our team, Sherry was a Vice President for a large International company. She did this for twenty years and gained experience in sourcing, interviewing and hiring employees at all levels. From both and entrepreneurial and corporate perspective, she worked with contracts and client interaction, lending her the knowledge to move into the acquisition and merger world seamlessly. Her main responsibilities at Hunt, Patton & Brazeal are: recruiting, sourcing new clients, closing new assignments, and sourcing new buyers or sellers for the M&A work. She attended Illinois State University and majored in Communications.
Monet has diverse experience within the Oil & Gas Industry. She studied at McNeese State University in Louisiana prior to moving to Houston. She acquired industry experience, knowledge and contacts through her work with E& P Companies, Operating Companies and Service Companies, both Onshore and Offshore, by holding positions of Corporate Sales, Account Executive – Valves/Pressure Control Equipment & Services, Business Development, Marketing & Proposal Management and Acquisition & Divestment Associate. The experience gained from working within Operating Companies and Service Companies has enabled her to provide a unique perspective to clients while addressing their specific business growth needs or goals. She is knowledgeable in the Onshore/Offshore/Subsea Markets, Engineering, Engineering Support, EPCM, Pipelines & Facilities, Pressure Control / Valve Equipment, Fabrication & Construction and Electric Contractors / Transmission & Distribution.
Monet joined Hunt Patton & Brazeal in 2011 as a Senior Industry Analyst in our Houston office providing Research & Company Analysis for business growth services. She has also assisted with administrative support, merger/acquisition services as well as sales and marketing. She is currently focuses on Mergers / Acquisitions, Divestitures, Joint Ventures, Capitalizations, Venture Capital, Start-ups, Strategic Planning as well as Professional / Executive / Technical Search Services & Recruiting.
Gregory brings strong leadership and interpersonal skills to Hunt, Patton & Brazeal. He joined our team over fifteen years ago. Gregory has experience in executive and technical recruiting to the oil and gas industry. He has worked with all types of oil, gas and energy companies including onshore and offshore, upstream, midstream and downstream. Greg is very familiar with recruiting engineers, project managers and executives. He earned a degree in Business Administration in Management, with an emphasis on Energy and Sustainability from the University of Houston.
Korlei, a Senior Management Consultant, has over 15 years of experience as a human resources director, manager and recruiter. Korlei has been on our team since 2007. She is an asset to our team and to our clients since Korlei has experience on both the seller and the buyer side. Korlei has worked with companies both large and small, from multi-billion dollar groups, private-equity companies, public international roll-ups and smaller family owned businesses. She has assisted in the sale of pipeline companies, engineering companies, refineries, drillers and more. Korlei attended Texas A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
Jeremy has been at Hunt, Patton & Brazeal since 2011. He started his recruiting career in 2008 in financial services. Now Jeremy focuses on executive recruiting and mergers and acquisitions at our company. Jeremy earned a two year degree from Rhema Bible School, and then earned an additional one year degree. He and his wife enjoy volunteering at their church, going on mission trips and preaching in jails, youth camps and churches.
Sandra has been a part of our team for over two years. At Hunt, Patton & Brazeal, she has successfully acquired experience in a multitude of industries like oil & gas, engineering, electric contracting, power and utility, transmission and distribution, amongst others.
Sandra’s background in PR, marketing and customer service have prepared her for this position. She is currently with Hunt, Patton & Brazeal in the Denver office as a Senior Industry Analyst. She is providing research and study work, search services/recruiting, assists with mergers & acquisitions, as well as sales & marketing.
Sally joined our team in 2011 bringing over 20 years of experience as a member of the Bechtel Corporation. Her current client portfolio is global in scope with specific emphasis business development recruiting in Civil Infrastructure with highly successful firms. Sally has a history of providing mission-critical HR Management for start-up programs, to include recruiting, training and organization management for projects ranging from $500M to $17B for clients located domestically and internationally. Her focus is on Civil Infrastructure specific to Rail, Highways, Airports, Ports and Marine. She has also worked in Mining and Metals, Oil and Gas, and U.S. Government. Her key projects includes: Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, Athens Metro. Korean High Speed Rail, CTRL, West Rail, Jubilee Line, Athens Metro, Jubail (United Arab Emirates), New Jersey Light Rail, Boston Artery, Portland Light Rail, Tacoma Narrows Bridge (Washington), Nuclear/Fossil Power Project and DOD/DOE Site Projects. She has also successfully recruited for Oil and Gas projects in Australia and Middle East. Sally has an undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Masters at Arizona State University.
